Cosa Nostra

A long overdue post, a birthday bash for mon amis mon cheries. Eid holiday was over and I was sad most of the time (and still sad now). I am trying to cope with the circumstances here. Anyway, a little things that kept me happy was a birthday bash for Colin and Fenn at Cosa Nostra, Cambridge Square.

The birthday girls (Fenn and Colin) decided to go to Cosa Nostra for late lunch

Food at Cosa Nostra

No vino for the day, too bad!

Fenn and Colin were good at choosing a place for rendezvous. Cosa Nostra literally means “Our Affairs” LOL!!! The terms used by the American-Italian mafia who tied themselves with the Sicilian crime groups (in their case, of course money laundering, drugs trafficking, prostitution, and other crimes activities related).

I love the term “Cosa Nostra” seriously! As, when we got together (myself, Fenn, Colin and Sylvia), we did always have our cosa nostra. And things we talked about, crimes things we thought to commit, aberrations that crossed our minds, ain’t nothing plain, seriously when 4 of us got together we were like these invincible women (Colin and Fenn are lionesses, Sylvia and I are Scropio).

Well, you would not get into our convo and our minds, because we got our cosa nostra going on.

us! noticed we had a piece of black on us?

We really spent quality times together talking about cosa nostra that others might not get, we shared some laughter, broke bread together, and of course one very rare opportunity (as we got our lives moving forward, and many changes are to come in near future).

These three are trying to act like a Momo-san! (pimp)

They could not hold their laughter. Bahahahah!

Few of cosa nostras (our things) are:

1. Trying to pinpoint who is gonna make the best momo-san (pimp)

2. Been teasing each others’ choice of words like lohti for Roti (bread), anya annya! for No no!, Tere for Coba (try), and many others words that we adopted as our common words.

3. Segmentation, divide and conquer strategy (again it’s our things)

4. Psycho-analyzing one another

5. Tag-teaming the lioness vs scropion

6. Discussing our “wish lists”, “crave lists” (Damn you Chanel! Damn you Celine! Damn you Dior, Damn you Prada!)

7. Talk business (oh yeah!)

8. Talk about others (no being hypocritical here, so what we do talk about others!)

9. Being racist Racial profiling (harmless jokes among us), we profiled our ancestry and hereditary trees.

10. Uh? Complain and Compensate. One complain about something and the others compensate a solution.

Well, of course many others which I won’t discuss long here.

Drawing by one of the girl, guess whose?

a little hint….

Could not get enough of one another; We stayed till dinner. We headed to Sunday Cafe for dinner

Sylvia and Colin

Oh and one more thing, we did find Slyvia was getting her mojo back! YAY! She’s back to her full-on-authority-charming-yet-firm personality. We were all happy to see her getting FIERCE! Like we were all supposed to be! We were a little bit stunned by a few things about her. LOL!

Well, I did prepare a few things for the birthday girls.

Intimes watch! Will be more popular than Ice watch soon. Our go to “gym” watch.

The watches were impeccable but the acrylic clutches I got for them both were damaged on route. Sigh, was so disappointed to see both Colin and Fenn didn’t get what they want.

Also the acrylic clutch I got for them, but too bad, both arrived broken.

But glad that Joy refunded me the full amount.

Haha, again we were following the Greek tradition by breaking plates on birthday bash. Well, instead of plates,we broke acrylic clutches? Cooler, eh? Whatever it is, it was a good sign, no? Don’t take my words, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plate_smashing
